The transfer from USC departed from the Trojans just before fellow Etiwanda Eagle Jordan McLaughlin, and has found a home with the Gonzaga Bulldogs! Byron Wesley led the Zags in a runaway win yesterday, over the “Cinderella” UCLA Bruins, with 14 points and 6 rebounds. He spent three years as a Trojan, where his teams won only 31 games, then got his degree last summer and transferred to GU, hoping to be part of March Madness. He went 1-6 against UCLA while at USC.
“I don’t think it could have been scripted any better,” said Wesley.
