Clippers Use Hot Shooting & Defense to Top Wolves at Home

Ontario, CA— The Agua Caliente Clippers shot 42% from deep en route to a 109-91 win over the Iowa Wolves on Tuesday night at Citizens Business Bank Arena. After a back-and-forth first half that saw Iowa leading by one at halftime, the Clippers made a late run, using a three-pointer from forward C.J. Williams to go up by 12 with 3:08 left in the game.

“I think our defense has been key the last two games,” said Williams. “We’re a team who plays well when we get stops and that’s what we did tonight.

Tyrone Wallace paced the AC Clippers with 27 points to go along with six rebounds and seven assists, while Williams added 21 on the night, including a team best 4-for-6 effort from deep. Elijah Millsap led the Wolves with 28 points and six rebounds.

The Clippers return to action on Thursday night as they face the Texas Legends in a 7 p.m. tip-off at Citizens Business Bank Arena.
