Anderson and Smith , NFL prospects from the IE

Inland Empire, CA  The Cincinnati Bengals have drafted Fresno State free safety Derron Smith (Banning, CA), making him the No. 197 overall selection in the 2015 NFL Draft. Smith was a four-year player who started all 14 games in his 2014 senior campaign. He was first-team All-Mountain West conference in each of his final three collegiate seasons.

Utah’s fifth-leading receiver in program history went undrafted due to concerns over his surgically repaired knee he injured during the 2014 season, but he was quickly scooped up and agreed to terms with the San Francisco 49ers, according to his agent. As many as 15 NFL teams who bypassed him in the draft were vying for his services.

The NFL is a birthright for Anderson: His father Flipper Anderson enjoyed a 10-year NFL career as a receiver for the L.A. Rams, Denver Broncos, Indianapolis Colts and Washington. Uncle Paco Craig (Riverside, CA) former UCLA Bruins Star, played a year for the Detroit Lions.
