Riverside—The UC Riverside Women’s Soccer Team (2-2-2) fell behind 1-0 to visiting Penn (0-2-2) Sunday evening, but tied the score on a 40-yard free kick by Amanda Roy to tie the Quakers, 1-1.
The Highlanders are 0-6-6 in overtime matches over their last two-plus seasons.They last won an overtime contest on October 17, 2014 in a 3-2 victory over UC Santa Barbara (box score/recap).
Six different players have scored each of the Highlanders’ six goals on the season.
Annie Bailey made the sixth start of her career between the pipes for UC Riverside, lowering her carer goals against average to 1.15.
Amanda Roy’s first shot on goal of the season led to her first score of the year.
