Semper Fidelis: Marines and Athletes Engage Local Community

The Semper Fidelis Football Program helps Marines reach out to hometown
communities by celebrating their well-rounded student athletes and exposing
them to Marine Corps leadership lessons that will enable future success.
The Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl is the culmination of a nationwide
All-American player selection tour that collectively celebrates academic
excellence, proven physical fitness, and quality of character; values that
parallel those of the Marine Corps.

“These are not just outstanding athletes,” said Col. Robert G. Golden III,
Chief of Staff, MCRC. “These players were hand-picked from thousands across
the country because these young leaders have also proven themselves
academically and in their communities.”

The Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl is designed to be different than other
bowls. The players selected to represent the eastern and western halves of
the country were chosen not only because they are among the most talented
players in the nation, but also because they bring something more to the
game.
