Candlelight vigil planned as Softball community mourns death of Dana Housley

Fontana, CAA candlelight vigil for Etiwanda softball standout Dana Housley is planned in Fontana on Sunday, 5/31, as her hometown and softball community around the world mourns her death.The vigil will take place at Veterans Park in the City of Fontana, located at 9055 Mango Avenue at 8:00 pm.  People whom come out to attend and show their support are asked to wear the color blue, which was Housley’s favorite color.

Via a statement posted on his Facebook page, on Wednesday, 5/27, Larry Housley, father of Dana Housley sadly announced she passed away.

On Saturday, May 23, 2015 in the last inning of her travel softball team tournament, Dana suffered a brain aneurysm, during the middle of her at bat. She was admitted to ICU at the Kaiser Perminante, and placed on life support, unable to breathe on her own, without any brain activity.
